Hey there 👋🏻 I'm a recovering people-pleasing perfectionist who has found her self-worth but is STILL navigating the challenge of prioritizing herself over others.
This is a simple introduction to everything you can expect from this blog so you can decide if it's the right place for you (no hard feelings if it's not!)
As a young girl, I was taught all the socially acceptable things to "fit in." No one asked me if I walked to; it was basically an expectation at birth. Wear this dress, put your hair like this, and use your manners... you know, standard stuff.
I want to be clear: This blog—and my life work, for that matter—is not an act of rebellion against society. Instead, it encourages asking questions, thinking critically, and being your most authentic self.
I actually really like wearing dresses, and I am an extremely polite person. Still, these are now active choices I make due to listening to my inner voice, not the words of others.
I have used movement, mindfulness, and mindset shifts to change how I see myself, others, and my daily interactions. As the founder of ContinU Wellness Centre, I aim to provide you with tools and thought-provoking questions to help you on your self-discovery journey.
While I hope to spread my mission to young females as they navigate huge developmental milestones, there is no age limit for tapping into one's true self.
Regardless of your stage in life, if this message resonates with you, I hope you'll subscribe to the blog by entering your email at the bottom of this page.
With gratitude,
Christina DeFranco
